Four Hounds Selected to Compete at Outdoor Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS - Four student-athletes from the UIndy men's and women's track and field teams have been selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This year's national meet will occur May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colo.

Zoe Pentecost will be the only Greyhound from the women's squad to make the trip west. Pentecost is the reigning champion in the hammer throw and will defend her title. The senior has the second-best mark in the field of 22 at 61.35m.

Josue Le Cadre will compete in his first Outdoor National Championship in the 800m. Le Cadre holds the program record and has the best time going into the race at 1:46.79. The sophomore has the only seed time under 1:47.0. Le Cadre placed second at Indoor Nationals in March as he looks to claim the event title.

Fellow Frenchmen, Felix Rivet will take on the 3000m steeplechase. Rivet enters the race with a seed time of 8:47.24. The junior holds the school record in the event as he looks for his first All-American title.

Alex Meyer rounds out the Greyhound lineup for Nationals. Meyer will compete in the long jump for the second consecutive year. The sophomore qualified with a mark of 7.47m as the 17th seed.
