ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Cameron Young of the UIndy men's golf team is tied for 13th after round one at the NCAA DII Midwest/Central Regional. Hosted by Missouri Western at St. Joseph Country Club, Young competes as an individual at the event.
 
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 19-23 at PGA National - Champions Course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
 
THURSDAY
Young shot +1 (72) after the first 18 holes for his share of 13th place. The sophomore accumulated four bogies to three birdies on the par 71 course. The English native's birdies came during the back nine to move him up in the rankings.
