BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The UIndy men's and women's track and field teams competed at two meets this week for a chance to compete at Nationals. Dubbed "last chance meets," this is the final shot student-athletes get to achieve marks that would qualify them for the DII National Championships.

The Greyhounds competed at Hillsdale's Last Chance in Hillsdale, Mich., on Wednesday, and the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana on Friday.

UIndy's top throwers and pole vaulters were the only ones to compete at both meets.
Keywuan Taylor and
Mackenzie VanBibber competed in the pole vault. Taylor's best performance came at Hillsdale, after clearing 4.41m. At IU, VanBibber cleared 3.80m.

In men's throws,
Dylan Mayhew and
Cameron Smith focused on the hammer throw. Mayhew threw for 52.98m at the mid-week meet and followed with 53.41m on Friday. Smith's first performance of the week was 54.27m and capped his career with 55.18m.

On the women's side,
Macie Swinehart won the hammer throw at Hillsdale with a PR mark of 48.95m. Swinehart capped her week with a 43.44m discus throw at IU, another PR.
Amanda Noel also got a PR at IU in the discus, hers being 42.83m.
Audra Hogan and
MaKenna Maschino capped their careers as Greyhounds by competing in the hammer throw in both meets. Both seniors had their best performances at the Billy Hay Invitational. Maschino reached 51.43m, and Hogan marked 54.01m.

The Greyhound runners only took the track in Bloomington.
Conyer Wilson and
Carlos Rodriguez both hit PRs in the 1500m. Wilson finished the race in 3:58.83, with Rodriguez right behind him at 3:59.31. Freshman
Jack Scoggins set a personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.34.
Josiah Adams and
Jalen Larkey clocked sub-50 times in the 400m. Adams finished his lap in 48.47 and Larkey in 49.07.

UP NEXT
The list of qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be released on Monday evening. This year's national meet will be held May 22-24 on the campus of Colorado State-Pueblo.
