UIndy Volleyball Announces Dig Pink Initiative

INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Indianapolis volleyball program announced its collaboration with Dig Pink to begin Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

The Greyhounds host Kentucky State at 6 p.m. from Ruth Lilly Fitness Center on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

"UIndy is proud to partner with the Side-Out Foundation to shine a light on a truly meaningful cause," said Heidi Hoepner, Assistant A.D. for Marketing and Promotions. "We're excited to host our Dig Pink event that will include elements throughout the match highlighting awareness and support for those battling breast cancer."

In what will mark the programs' 12th all-time meeting that spans four decades, all ticket proceeds will be donated directly to Side-Out Foundation's Dig Pink initiative. Please consider donating directly to the cause here.

"This match is bigger than the game of volleyball," said UIndy head coach Haley Case. "It is about standing strong for those fighting cancer, honoring those we have lost, and reminding everyone that awareness saves lives. Cancer may be strong, but may our hope and commitment to finding a cure be stronger".

From the campaign:
When you donate to our campaign, you're directly funding the Side-Out Research Program for patients with metastatic breast cancer - the most advanced form of the disease and, sadly, the area that receives the least research funding.

These are our mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors battling the toughest form of breast cancer. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps give them hope through innovative treatments that could extend and improve their lives. We've seen firsthand how breast cancer affects families, and that's why this cause is so close to our heart. Every donation brings us one step closer to better treatments and a world where metastatic breast cancer is a manageable condition.
