INDIANAPOLIS –  The UIndy baseball team grabbed the No. 30 spot in the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association Division II Preseason Poll, and earned third in the NCBWA Preseason Poll, released Tuesday.

Along with a third place ranking in the NCBWA Midwest Region rankings, the Greyhounds also sport two on the 2026 NCBWA Preseason Midwest Region First Team, Austin Bode and Chase Mason. Both guys also appeared on the D2Baseball Preseason All-American List earlier today.
 
Al Ready returns a 2025 ACBA/Rawlings All-Region Midwest First Team and All-GLVC First Team Honoree, Austin Bode, and 2025 ABCA Midwest All-Defensive Team member, Bennett Rogers. The squad made its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Baseball Super Regional last season as the No. 4 seed, defeating Ashland and  No. 1-seeded Davenport to advance to the Super Regional.

The eighth year skipper Ready and the Greyhounds open their season with a road trip south to take on Mississippi College with the four-game weekend series set to begin Friday Jan. 30.
