LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Indianapolis is spending its fourth straight week in the AVCA Teraflex Division II top 25 it was announced Monday.Â
The Hounds moved up one spot to No. 23 after picking up a win over in-region opponent Cedarville, before defeating two in-conference opponents in Maryville and Missouri S&T last week. Indianapolis is tied for the top spot in the nation in win-loss percentage with 1.000, while the squad ranks seventh in the country in assists per set, averaging 14.45.Â
The Hounds lead the conference in blocks per set (4.33) and total blocks (29.5.). The program also sits second in the league in opponent hitting percentage (.123), team assists (159), team digs (192), team kills (164), and total team attacks (403/)
Junior Maddie Lynch recently earned her fourth career GLVC Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award and leads the league in total kills with 51 through the Hounds' 18 contests, while maintaining a .467 hitting percentage. Defensive specialist Macy Bruton sits atop the GLVC in total digs, scooping up 326 digs this season while averaging 5.45 per set placing her fifth in the league.Â
Ferris State extends its streak atop the national poll to five weeks with a perfect 16-0 record, while Grand Valley also represents the Midwest Region, sitting at No.17.Â
