Men’s Lacrosse Recieving Votes in USILA Week Three Poll

BALTIMORE— The University of Indianapolis men's lacrosse team continues to receive recognition in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Coaches Poll, entering their fourth week of action.

After falling to No. 12 Newberry at home on Friday the Greyhounds hold a 2-1 record, with wins against Northwood and Lake Erie.

In their matchup against the Wolves, Alec Score had a standout performance for the UIndy defence, setting a program record with eight caused turnovers. The sophomore's eight CTOs is the third highest mark in Division II and the most in Division II in the last four seasons.

Between the pipes, AJ Preachuk recorded eleven saves on 31 shots faced, while Matt Pereira led the scoring for UIndy, netting three goals for his squad.

Adelphi maintains the top spot in the national poll. GLVC opponent, Maryville, sits at #5 in the poll, with Lewis also in the top 10 at #8.

The Hounds featured at #19 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine's Division II Men's Top 20 List, joining conference opponents #4 Maryville and #8 Lewis, on the Week 3 list.

UIndy returns to Key Stadium this Saturday, Feb. 28, for Alumni Day, where they will face Seton Hill at noon.
