BALTIMORE— The University of Indianapolis men's lacrosse team continues to receive recognition in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Week Four Coaches Poll.
The Hounds moved to 2-2 after falling to No.4 Seton Hill at Key Stadium on Saturday in a 10-9 contest. Three of the last four matches between the two squads have been decided by one goal. The duo of Jonah Koehler and TJ Reddington dominated at the faceoff dot, winning 17-of-23 efforts against their Griffin counterparts.Matt Pereiria, who leads the UIndy in goals this season, netted his ninth and tenth in the squad's fourth game of the season, while AJ Preachuk recorded his third game with double-digit saves, stopping 11 against fourth-ranked Seton Hill.
Adelphi remains at the top of the Division II poll while Lewis is now the highest-ranked team in the GLVC, sitting at No.7 while Maryville dropped four spots to No.8 after falling to No. 2 Tampa 14-3 over the weekend.
In addition to the USILA Coaches Poll the Hounds are also receiving votes in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Top 20 List.Â
The Hounds hit the road, traveling to Huntsville, Ala., to face Alabama Huntsville on Saturday for a 1 p.m. faceoff.Â
