NASHVILLE, Tn. -- Over the weekend, the UIndy women's bowling team finished 31st in the Music City Classic. The Greyhounds picked up three head-to-head wins over the three day event, totalling 11,496 pins.
Individually, Taylor Stace led the Hounds' in total pins, downing 942 over the weekend for an average of 188.4. Alyssa Cash was next for UIndy, knocking 888 total pins. Stace finished 70th in the field of 221, while Cash placed 90th.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Day one began with Baker match play, where UIndy posted a 2-3 record. The Hounds first entered the win column against Prairie View A&M, defeating the Panthers 913-776. They found their second win of the day in their final match against Long Island, taking down the Sharks 879-806. They totaled 4,378 pins on the afternoon, averaging 175.1 pins per game.
Day two hosted five traditional matches, tallying 4,143 pins. Stace broke the 200+ threshold twice for the Hounds on her way to a 942 total. Cash also broke 200 for UIndy, posting a high of 202 in the first game.
In the first round Baker bracket play, UIndy fell 4-1 to Quincy, with a 783-843 score. The Hounds followed that up with a more narrow result against Carthage, coming up just short in six games, with a final score of 982-991. UIndy ended the day picking up a 1,210-1,184 win over Aurora.

UIndy will compete in the USBC ITC Sectionals next weekend, with the tournament beginning Friday, March 13.
