LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2026 All-Midwest Region Softball Team Friday, with three Greyhounds appearing on the list. Sophomore slugger
Brooklyn Willis (OF) and freshman phenom
Caitlin Bunte (P) were named to the first team, while sophomore
Cheyenne Eads (P/UTL) earned second-team inclusion.
Â
Two of the primary engines of a 50-win Greyhound club, Willis and Bunte are both authoring historic seasons. Willis has reset multiple single-season school records in spring—home runs, runs scores, total bases—while Bunte became the first UIndy freshman to garner GLVC Pitcher of the Year accolades.
Â
Meanwhile, Eads is crafting a memorable season on both sides of the ball. She recently became just the fifth Greyhound to reach the 30-win mark in the circle, while at the plate she is knocking on the door of the Division II all-time record for times hit by a pitch in the season.

The trio and their teammates are currently hosting the NCAA DII Midwest Regional.
