ST. LOUIS – The D2CCA's All-American teams were announced Thursday, withÂ
Austin Bode receiving a second-team nod in the 2026 edition of this year's teams.
This is the first D2CCA All-American honor since the Greyhounds reeled off an All-American in three consecutive seasons from 2022-24, with Xavier Rivas, Drew Donaldson, and Caleb Vaughn being the recipients in each of those three seasons. Bode becomes only the second designated hitter to be awarded an All-American nod in any of the three All-American lists (NCBWA, D2CCA, and ABCA/Rawlings), with Ben Sondgeroth's NCBWA third-team selection the only other time that's happened in program history.
This second-team mention is Bode's seventh award of the 2025 season, as he picked up Player of the Year acknowledgments on the;Â
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Midwest,Â
D2CCA All-Midwest Region, and the
All-GLVC lists. Along with his three player of the years mentions, he's also captured the quadruple in first-team mentions on the ABCA/Rawlings, D2CCA All-Midwest Region, NCBWA Midwest Region, and All-GLVC teams.
Bode continues to lead the Greyhounds in all statistical hitting categories, and is ranked sixth in the nation in walks with 55 in 57 games played, which is more than any other player at the DII College World Series this season.
The Hounds are looking to make program history starting tomorrow, in becoming the first team in Greyhound history to win the NCAA DII College World Series. The Hounds journey to the title begins against the top-seeded West Chester Golden Rams on Friday May 29 at 6 p.m. ET.
