The University of Indianapolis baseball team is back in Cary, N.C., for its third DII College World Series in four years, facing off against the West Chester Rams at the USA Baseball National Training Complex on Friday, May 29 at 6 p.m. ET.
The Hounds made their way through the bracket's Midwest Region, defeating Wayne State, Missouri-St. Louis, Illinois, Springfield and claimed the Midwest Super Regional title with two wins against Grand Valley for a six-game win streak in the postseason.Â
UIndy looks for its first College World Series Win since defeating Slippery Rock 9-4 during the 2000 season, while also looking to pull off its first upset against the top-seeded team in the College World Series.Â
 Redshirt Senior Ausin Bode had been raking in the postseason accolades for the Greyhounds, most recently being recognized as D2CCA All-America Second Team for his seventh award of the 2026 season. The Columbus, Ind. native also garnered ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Midwest, D2CCA All-Midwest Region, and All-GLVC Player of the Year honors. Along with his three player of the year mentions, he's also captured the quadruple in first-team mentions on the ABCA/Rawlings, D2CCA All-Midwest Region, NCBWA Midwest Region, and All-GLVC teams.Â
Joining Bode, earning ABCA/ Rawlings All-Region and D2CCCA All-Midwest Region, Chase Mason earned Second Team honors. Mason has slashed an impressive .336 in the batter's box, while driving in 55 runs on 75 hits and getting on base at .456 to claim his first All-Region nod in Grimson and Grey. Mason also earned a First Team All-GLVC nod following the 2026 regular season.Â
Brayton Bowen, Aidan Pearson and Drake Downing earned their spots on the All-GLVC Second Team. Ryan O'Born was the Hounds' third pitcher to earn the conference honors, earning an honorable mention nod, to give UIndy a total of six All-Conference honorees.Â
