Make a drawing on paper and then draw it IRL using GPS!
Come and join in this family friendly event at IndyPark's Southside Park where you bring a 8 1/2 X 11 drawing on paper and then try to recreate that drawing in real life my walking or jogging the same drawing. You will do the IRL drawing by using a GPS device like a watch or program like MapMYRun on your smart phone.
If you would like, the ladies from the UIndy Triathlon team will judge the drawings and place them into categories depending on how close the paper and GPS drawings match. Participants will receive a Blue, Red or White ribbon. Blue ribbons are an outstanding match, Red ribbons are a great match and White ribbons are a good match. Drawings are not required to be judged.
All participants will not only receive a ribbon, but there will be music, snacks, prizes, a fun way to get some exercise and best of all, 4 tickets to the 2:00 PM UIndy football game against Findlay per drawing. IEventhough only 4 people can enter the football game for each drawing, you can have as many people as you want to walk or jog the GPS drawing.
Participants will park behind the Health Pavilion building and then walk the 1/4 mile down the sidewalk to Southside Park.
Once at the park, participants will check in and submit their paper drawing under the UIndy Triathlon team tent before starting their GPS drawing around the park. The time window to do your drawing is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You can show up at any time during that two hour time block. This event is free for UIndy students.
