9/21/2017 9:00:00 AM

Hillsdale Chargers (2-1) at 14 UIndy Greyhounds (3-0)
Saturday, Sept. 23, 6 p.m. ET, Key Stadium

ON TAP
The No. 14 Greyhounds step out of conference play to host Hillsdale College Saturday. The Chargers have switched conferences recently, moving from the familiar GLIAC to the up-and-coming Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). As a result, tonight is not a region game for the Hounds.

HOUNDS vs. CHARGERS
UIndy and Hillsdale have faced off 30 times since their first meeting in 1978. The Chargers own a slight 16-14 edge overall. The Greyhounds have won 12 of the last 17 meetings, however, including a 3-1 mark since Coach Bart took over in 2010.

The Chargers hosted UIndy for the 2016 season opener. The Hounds hung 17 points on the board in the third quarter to take a four-point advantage into the final period, but Hillsdale mustered a comeback that ended in a 30-24 win for the home team. Charger QB Chance Stewart amassed 320 passing yards on the night, 197 of which went to all-region wideout Trey Brock.

LAST TIME OUT
The Greyhounds remained unbeaten with a decisive 45-17 victory against defending-GLVC-co-champ Southwest Baptist at Key Stadium last week. After giving up a touchdown on the game's opening drive, the Hounds rolled off 28 consecutive points and never looked back, leading by at least two scores for nearly the entire final three quarters.

QB Jake Purichia finished with 314 yards of total offense, three passing touchdowns and zero interceptions, while LB Joe Lambright led all players with a career-high 13 tackles, two sacks and a pass break-up.

CONFERENCE COMMENDATION
Both Purichia and senior Brad Schickel garnered recognition from the GLVC for their performances last week, earning Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively.

It marked the first career GLVC weekly award for Purichia and third for Schickel, who also won last week. The Greyhounds have now accounted for five of the season's nine GLVC weekly honorees this season.

POLL POSITION
UIndy moved up again in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, creeping up one notch to No. 14 this week. The ranking is the Hounds' highest since earning the No. 13 spot in week 11 of 2015. UIndy's highest-ever position is 10th, coming in November of 2013.

GOIN' STREAKIN'
Winners of all three of its games this year, UIndy has now rolled off seven consecutive victories dating back to last season. No other GLVC school has won more than two in a row.

TOP DOGS
Three Greyhounds appear at the top of the national statistical rankings through week three. Purichia paces all of Division II in both passing efficiency (205.1) and yards per pass attempt (11.48), Robert Williams leads the division in passes defended per game (2.7), while Schickel is one of only 23 qualified kickers that has yet to miss a field goal try.

Purichia had topped DII in completion percentage heading into last weekend and now ranks second (.769).

HOMELAND SECURITY
Since Head Coach Bob Bartolomeo took over in 2010, the Hounds have amassed an impressive 35-6 (.854) record at Key Stadium. That span includes a 20-1 record versus GLVC competition.
