INDIANAPOLIS – Postseason awards continue to come in for the UIndy men's soccer team. Two Greyhounds were named first-team all-region by the voting coaches while one senior was voted to the region's second team.
Senior
Javier Steinwascher and junior
Vincent Stone were named first-team all-region for their efforts in 2019. Steinwascher was a first-team all-GLVC and first-team all-region selection by region SIDs while Stone was a second-team selection to both the all-GLVC and all-region teams last month. Steinwascher has 47 points on the season, scoring 14 goals and dishing out 17 assists as well in 2019. Stone has started all 21 games for the Hounds this year, scoring a goal and chipping in three assists while starting at outside back for UIndy.
Senior
Ben Rohder was a second-team all-region selection by coaches. Rohder was a first-team all-GLVC selection last month by conference coaches. Rohder scored the game-winning goal Sunday in the team's elite eight game against Maryville to clinch the team's spot in the national semifinal this week.
