Lauren Wagner has been named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. The Greyhounds defeated Ashland this past Friday on senior night, 23-1.

Wagner limited GLIAC leading scorer Sofia Michael to zero shots, as the Greyhound defense locked in for the final home contest of the regular season. As a unit, UIndy allowed just five shots on goal, with the Ashland score coming more than 47 minutes into the game. The Hounds forced 19 turnovers, while limiting the Eagles to six-of-21 on the clear.

The Upper Arlington, Ohio native also tallied her first-career goal in the victory.

The Greyhounds are back in action this weekend with a trip to the Upper Peninsula on the schedule. UIndy will battle Northern Michigan on Thursday before traveling over to Concordia St. Paul on Saturday afternoon.
