Women's Lax Ranked Third in First Set of Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 12 UIndy women's lacrosse team is ranked third in the initial set of regional rankings, the NCAA released on Wednesday. After earning the three seed a season ago, the Greyhounds are 13-1 in 2019 with their lone loss coming at the hands of No. 1 Le Moyne.

UIndy is a perfect 13-0 in region contests, including a win over No. 22 Grand Valley State.

This is the first season that four teams from each of the four regions will earn berths into the NCAA tournament, with each respective top seed hosting. The NCAA Midwest regional is scheduled for May 10 and 12.

Regis grabbed the top seed in the first poll, with Lindenwood following in second. Colorado Mesa, Grand Valley State, and Tiffin round out the top six.

Grace Gunneson currently leads the Greyhounds with 76 points, including 46 goals.
