Katz, McClure Garner GLIAC Weekly Awards

BAY CITY, Mich. – UIndy women's lacrosse players Destinie Katz and Riley McClure were tabbed the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) players of the week after leading the Greyhounds to a pair of league wins over the weekend.

Katz claims her second offensive weekly honor of the season after totaling 16 points in the victories over Northern Michigan and Concordia-St. Paul. The junior out of Manorville, N.Y. scored four times, including a hat trick at Northern Michigan on Thursday, while handing out 12 helpers.

The attacker ranks second on the team with 79 points.

McClure secures the third defensive accolade of her career, and first since 2017 after tallying 14 draw controls, three ground balls, and one caused turnover. The Ancaster, Ontario native controlled the circle over the weekend to give the Greyhound offense a boost, even adding a pair of assists in the win at Concordia-St. Paul.

McClure ranks second in the GLIAC among defenders with 42 caused turnovers.
