INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy softball student-athlete Halie Waters was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® 4 First Team, announced this week. The sophomore pitcher is an all-conference and all-region performer on the field, and a 3.99 student as a Biology and Psychology double-major in the classroom.
 
Currently leading the Greyhounds on a deep NCAA Tournament run, Waters tops the Great Lakes Valley Conference in wins (23), saves (5) and opposing batting average (.183) while ranking second in strikeouts (219). The Boonville, Ind., native sports six shutouts on the season, including her first career no-hitter back on April 6.
 
She is now eligible for Google Cloud Academic All-America® honors. First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced in June.
