INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis student-athlete Austin Hogan was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as announced Tuesday. Voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
 
Sporting a 3.81 GPA as a graduate student, Hogan earned his third consecutive inclusion on the Academic All-District® list. He will move on to the Academic All-America® ballot, an honor he garnered in both 2017 and '18.
 
A native of Indianapolis, Hogan was named the 2019 Great Lakes Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Year for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. He thrice earned All-America honors this year after placing third in the weight throw at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships in March before finishing sixth in the discus and seventh in the hammer throw at outdoor nationals this past week.
