INDIANAPOLIS – After tossing 10 and two-thirds innings in UIndy's 2-1 win over Quincy Sunday, senior Jake Sprinkle was named Pitcher of the Week by the GLVC Tuesday afternoon. Sprinkle joins junior Reid Werner Greyhound pitchers to win the award during the 2019 season.
 
Sprinkle threw seven shutout innings until Quincy scored their first run Sunday afternoon, the only run of the game for the Hawks. The Franklin Central, Ind., product struck out nine Quincy batters while only giving up one walk. Sprinkle surrendered only six hits in the Greyhound win, holding Quincy to a .171 batting average while in the game before being replaced and exiting Greyhound Park to a standing ovation to the home crowd.
 
The GLVC will announce their end of season awards later this week.
