OZARK, Mo. – Three UIndy baseball players were recognized for their efforts on the field Wednesday night at the GLVC's annual postseason banquet. The Greyhounds finished their season Sunday afternoon with a win over Quincy to give them a 30-20 record in head coach Al Ready's first season at the helm.
Â
Macy Holdsworth was one of two seniors to earn first-team all-conference honors. The shortstop ended his marvelous UIndy career with a .374 average this last season and led the NCAA in doubles with 23 on the season. It did not take long for Holdsworth to set the all-time doubles record this season, only needing about half the season to do so, now holding the record with 63 career doubles. The career doubles list is not the only one Holdsworth tops as the Greensburg, Ind., native also holds the record for most hits while wearing a Greyhound uniform, totaling 234 knocks during his four seasons with the Hounds.
Â
Kyle Orloff was the second Greyhound to earn first-team honors. The senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, started all 50 games this past season for UIndy. Orloff tied for second on the team with nine homers on the year, bringing in 43 runs for the Hounds. Like Holdsworth, Orloff has his name etched in Greyhound history in numerous categories, holding the UIndy career record for RBIs with 179 in his career, 36 more than second place. Orloff also finds his name at top of the list in total bases after four seasons, touching 381 bases as a Greyhound. While being first in two categories, Orloff places second on four other lists, including hits, doubles, at-bats, and homeruns with his now former head coach Al Ready.

Junior pitcher
Reid Werner was UIndy's lone representative on the All-GLVC second-team. The former GLVC pitcher of the week led the Greyhounds in wins this season, winning seven of his 12 starts, only losing one decision. The Greenwood, Ind., native achieved a 3.35 ERA last season, the best among UIndy starters. Werner was one of two Greyhounds to throw complete games this season, pitching a shutout in both of those games in wins over Oakland City and Drury.

UIndy has had multiple players selected to the all-conference teams every year since 1992. Â Â
