GRAND LAKE, Colo. – UIndy women's lacrosse junior defender
Riley McClure was named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) third-team All-America recipient on Tuesday, becoming a two-time honoree. In all, the organization awarded 48 student-athletes from 24 programs the distinction of All-America.

McClure is the only All-American is the program's four-year history, earning IWLCA second-team accolades a season ago.

The Ancaster, Ontario product had a career year in 2019, locking up her second straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Defender of the Year award, as well as her third consecutive All-GLIAC First-Team honors. McClure scooped up 49 ground balls and caused 48 turnovers in 20 games this past spring, while also securing 94 draw controls.

McClure served as the anchor for the Greyhound back line, which led NCAA Division in scoring defense with 5.2 goals allowed per game. The junior caused a program-best seven turnovers in the blowout win over Lake Erie on March 9, while recording seven ground balls on two separate occasions in 2019 against Lewis and Maryville.

One of eight All-America selections from the Midwest region, McClure joins three from Regis, two from Colorado Mesa, and two from Lindenwood. Each of the four schools represented in the IWLCA All-America teams advanced to the NCAA Midwest regional back on May 10-12.
