LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Earning its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and fifth-ever trip to the Super Regional, the UIndy softball team settled at No. 14 in the year's final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Wednesday. The Greyhounds finished the season with a 49-17 mark after coming just two wins shy of a World Series appearance.
The announcement marks the Hounds' seventh appearance in the season's final coach poll and first since 2016. UIndy has been ranked in the top 25 for 12 consecutive weeks, topping out at No. 9 on April 17.
Meanwhile, national-champ Augustana (61-10) garnered all 16 first-place votes to unanimously top the final NFCA poll. National runner-up Texas A&M-Kingsville (52-10) followed at No. 2, while Midwest-champ Grand Valley State (51-10) ended the season at No. 3.
