INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of 2019 graduates from the UIndy baseball program have signed professional contracts to continue their baseball careers while another former Greyhound continues to move his way up in the coaching ranks.
 
Kyle Orloff and Jake Sprinkle were both signed by the Utica Unicorns of the United Shores Professional Baseball League. The Unicorns are one of four teams in the suburban Detroit league. Both Orloff and Sprinkle's contracts are good though the 2019 season.
 
UIndy head man Al Ready on the former Greyhounds signing professionally, "Both Kyle and Jake worked tirelessly for this opportunity. I could not be more excited for both of these guys to get started. They have done a lot for our program and are well deserving of a chance to play at the next level."
 
While Orloff and Sprinkle work to get to the next level, former Greyhound player and coach Jordan Tiegs continues to work his way to the next level as a pitching coach. Tiegs, a 2009 graduate of UIndy, spent the last five years as the pitching coach at Indiana State, now finds himself in the Texas Rangers organization. Tiegs will serve as a pitching instructional coach in the Rangers minor league system.
