CLEVELAND – The Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced its 2018-19 academic recipients on Monday, with UIndy placing the second-most student-athletes on the prestigious list. In total, 163 Greyhounds were recognized to top the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
 
In order to be honored, the student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, have attended the university over the previous four semesters and have been an active member of the team the following season.
 
The GLVC had the third-most student-athletes named among conferences, as UIndy recorded a whopping 20.6 percent of eight league schools listed. McKendree University (143) and Truman State University (104) were among the other conference members that reached the century mark.
 
The 2018-19 year marked the highest number of schools and student-athletes that were recognized in the award's 12th edition.
