INDIANAPOLIS – The post season awards are rolling in for the UIndy men's soccer with three Greyhounds earning their second All-Region nod of the season.  Makel Rasheed and Alejandro Steinwascher earned United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region First Team honors while Dimitrios Karousos was named to the Second Team.

All three Hounds add to their D2CCA All-Midwest Region First Team selection from last week.

Makel Rasheed earned back-to-back GLVC Defensive Player of the Year honors.  The Rockville, MD native has tallied five goals and three assists this season while leading a strong Greyhound defense.  Through 21 matches, UIndy has allowed 15 goals while holding opponents to 7.2 shots per game.

Alejandro Steinwascher paces the Hounds with 39 points on the year off of 14 goals and 10 assists.  The two-time GLVC Offensive Player of the Year has recorded a point in all but four matches this year while producing 14 multi-point matches.  He currently sits 10th in Division II in both total assists and total goals while ranking seventh in total points.

Dimitrios Karousos adds to his back-to-back First Team All-GLVC nods.  The Athens, Greece native has started in 19 matches this season, recording 49 saves along with nine shut outs.  He has recorded the third best save percentage among goalkeepers in this year's NCAA Tournament.

This postseason alone, the Hounds have outscored their opponents 15-3 while posting four clean sheets.  Their postseason run continues on Thursday night in the National Semifinal in Colorado Springs.  The Hounds will face defending National Champion Charleston University with first kick slated for 10 pm ET.
