LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Despite still waiting to take the field this season, the UIndy softball team climbed two spots to No. 19 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Poll, released Wednesday. The Greyhounds have had winter weather twice postpone their opening day.

The Hounds are one of two GLVC teams in the top 25 this week, as Southern Indiana grabbed the No. 16 spot. Meanwhile, Southern Arkansas remains at the top of the poll, earning 15 of 16 first-place votes.

Led by one of the largest and most-experienced senior classes in recent memory, UIndy returns its entire starting lineup from 2020. Back in the fold is All-Midwest Region pitcher

With the recent snowfall forcing the cancelation of this weekend's doubleheader at Kentucky Wesleyan, the Greyhounds are hoping to make the trip to Owensboro, Ky., Feb. 27-28 for four games at Blue Ridge Classic.
