EVANSVILLE, Ind. – As one of five Greyhounds recognized Tuesday, UIndy senior Hallie Waters was named the 2021 the Division II Conference Commissioner's Associations Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year, as voted on by the region's sports information directors.
 
She was joined on the All-Midwest Region First Team by freshman Kenzee Smith, senior Gianni Iannantone and sophomore Emily O'Connor, while senior Haylie Foster garnered second-team accolades.
 
Also an all-region first teamer according to the region's coaches, Waters garnered the Midwest's top pitching honors after helping UIndy to Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season and tournament titles the spring. The 2021 GLVC Pitcher of the Year enters the NCAA Tournament with a 20-3 record and 1.62 ERA inside the circle this season. Her efforts helped the Greyhounds to a 43-6 overall record as well as a 26-2 mark in conference-play. She was a second-team All-Midwest Region selection in 2019.
