INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's Lacrosse team picked up the first two Great Lake Valley Conference Player of the Week honors of the 2022 campaign with
Abigail Lagos winning Offensive Player of the Week and
Peyton Romig receiving Defensive Player of the Week as announced by league officials on Monday.
The Hounds are off to a 2-0 start of the season after downing McKendree and Frostburg St. over the weekend.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abigail Lagos, Indianapolis
GS., Attack, Windham, NH
Major: Exercise Science
Team Results: 19-3 W vs. McKendree; 21-2 W vs. Frostburg St.
- Scored 12 goals off of 25 shots, landing 19 on goal for a SOG% of .760
- Chipped in an assist and three ground balls
- Earns fourth career Player of the Week award (03/02/21, 3/02/20, 2/23/20, 2/21/22)
- Last Greyhounds' Offensive Player of the Week: Sarah Klein (3/22/21)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Peyton Romig, Indianapolis

Major: Exercise Science

- Became unofficial NCAA Career Leader in Draw Controls with 26 on the weekend.
- Added four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
