PITTSBURG, Kan. –Tomorrow is the day where it all beings once again for UIndy track & field as seven members of the No. 13-ranked women's squad will compete at the Robert W. Plaster Center for the 2022 NCAA DII Indoor Championship meet. The crew traveling the eight-and-a-half hours to the southwest includes
Brittney Clark,
Berenice Cleyet-Merle,
Claire Eaton,
Ellie Lengerich,
Zoe Pentecost,
Eline Pinter and
Emily Sonderman.
The group will combine for seven events with Cleyet-Merle taking on both the mile and the 3K, the latter of which she set the
school, DII and French records. Lengerich will compete in the high jump after setting the school record with a leap of
1.75 meters at the first meet of the year. Pentecost similarly rides high-level success from early in the season as she challenges weight throw. Clark ended the year on a high note with the first ever four-meter pole vault by a woman in
school history to cement her spot. Eaton, in her first year with the team, joins in as well for the 5K. Alongside the individual events, the team will send a DMR group that involves Cleyet-Merle, Lengerich, Pinter and Sonderman.

Assistant Head Coach Brad Robinson on his nationals group...
"I believe this is the most women we've ever taken collectively as a whole team to the national championship, and all the ladies going we feel like have a chance to make the podium, top eight, which is awesome. ...So if that were to happen, that would, without a doubt, probably take care of business and allow the ladies to score the most points they've ever scored at a national championship, but also finished the highest as a team that they've ever finished as well."
Robinson on the DMR...
"But we feel that if they lineup and do what they're capable of doing we feel pretty hard pressed for anybody to beat us, they're gonna have to have an incredible day [to beat us].
