Box Score LEBANON, ILL. – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team downed the No. 16 University of Tampa on Monday afternoon on McKendree's turf, 15-8.
The Hounds are now 6-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds scored early with
Sarah Klein and
Abigail Lagos goals – followed by back-two-back Tampa goals. A back and forth battle went on until the Greyhounds took off with seven minutes to go in the second. Eight unanswered goals from the Hounds would put UIndy out of reach.
Abigail Lagos led the charge for the Hounds with five goals off 12 shots, while picking up two ground balls and causing two turnovers.
Kylee Manser also earned herself three goals, off four shots.
Cassidy King earned eight saves on the match, while racking up a save percentage of .727 while
Audrey Moran posted three saves.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-The Hounds landed 35 shots on goal while Tampa had only 19.
