INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team has collected a No. 1 ranking in the first edition of the NCAA Division II Regional Rankings, officials at the NCAA announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Greyhounds (14-1, 5-0 GLVC) rise above the competition in the Midwest Region. Grand Valley State sits in the runner-up position while Regis (CO), Lindenwood, Davenport, and Colorado Mesa hold third, fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively.
UIndy is set to return to action in a highly competitive GLVC clash on Thursday afternoon at Key Stadium against in-region foe and No. 7-ranked Lindenwood. The game is currently scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET.
