INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team has been named the No. 2 in the nation as released in the most recent IWLCA Poll as announced by officials on Monday morning. The Hounds move up one spot from the previous poll.
 
The Greyhounds, who have just secured the title of Great Lakes Valley regular season champions this past week after defeating McKendree and No. 8 ranked Lindenwood in completing an undefeated conference season.
 
The Greyhounds are currently led offensively by Abigail Lagos who has 81 goals and 23 assists in leading in both categories. Defensively, Mekayla Montgomery is a force to be reconned with, with 28 caused turnovers and 40 draw controls.
 
The Hounds will host the GLVC Tournament on Friday where they will face off against four seeded McKendree at 11 a.m. ET in Key Stadium.
