INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis Women's Lacrosse team swept the major player awards for the Great Lakes Valley Conference as announced by the conference on Friday morning.

The Hounds, along with the five player awards, earned a James R. Spalding Sportsmanship nomination, eight All-GLVC First Teamers, two second teamers, and three honorable mentions.

Abigail Lagos received the honor of repeating as GLVC Attacker of the Year, along with a first team All-GLVC mention. The Windham, NH native received five GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a regular season of leading the Hounds in both the goals scored category and assists. Lagos ended the regular season leading the GLVC in goals per game with an average of 4.76 and goals (81), points per game (6.06), Game winning goals (5), and sits second in assists with 22. Lagos adds the honor to her impressive career at UIndy which includes All-American, and regional honors.

Peyton Romig repeats in winning GLVC Midfielder of the Year, along with tabbing a first team mention. The Grad Student has taken charge in the circle in following her reputation as one of the best draw specialists in the nation in taking 203 draw controls in the regular season. Romig contributed as an offensive power with 30 goals, 11 assists, and 46 shots on goal. Defensively, Romig has caused 18 turnovers and picked up 31 ground balls. Romig adds the award to a career peppered with All-American, Regional, and conference honors.

Kara Antonucci receives her first GLVC major award in receiving Defender of the Year, along with a first team honor. Leading as a force on the Hounds defense, Antonuncci's speed and grit locks down her opponent's offense and limits top players to little scoring opportunities. 46 draw controls, 12 caused turnovers, and 11 ground balls show off Antonuucci's defensive power, while her offensive ability shines in two goals and an assist.

Cassidy King is the next Hound to repeat in her major award, receiving Goalkeeper of the Year and a GLVC first-team honors. Serving as the closer for the Greyhounds in net, King has tallied 513 minutes making 49 saves and allowing just 38 goals. After facing 119 shots, the Canandaigua, NY native, ended the regular season with a save percentage of .563. King adds the honor to All-American, and regional honors.

To cap off the award,
Bella Schorr receives Freshman of the Year and All-GLVC First team honors. Â Starting in all 17 games, Schorr has been a key asset to the Hounds defense in picking up 25 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Aside from locking down her opponents, the freshman has also contributed a goal and an assist in the regular season.

The Greyhounds pepper the All-GLVC First Team winners with the five award winners,
Sarah Klein, and MeKayla Montgomery. On the second team is
Quinn Malcolm and
Kylee Manser, while Honorable mentions include
Christina Sato,
Audrey Moran, and
Amy Vegh.

Vegh also earns the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship nomination, Vegh scored five goals in the Hounds regular season, caused 13 turnovers, and picked up 23 ground balls .
