The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team has been ranked No. 2 in the nation after it claimed the Great Lakes Valley Championship over No. 9 Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon.

The Hounds defeated McKendree on Friday afternoon, before exerting their Midwest dominance over the Lions on Sunday, 14-5.

Abigail Lagos has marked herself as third in the nation in division II in goals per game with 4.71, as well as second in free position goals with 1.41.

Peyton Romig is seeded second in the nation with 10.18 per game.

The Hounds take a week break as they await their selection on Sunday, May 6 for the NCAA Regional Selection show at 8:30 p.m. ET.
