INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team has received the No. 1 ranking in the Midwest Region as release by the national office on Wednesday morning. This marks the Greyhounds third week atop the rankings and the final set of rankings before the Midwest Regional is announced.

The Hounds, who just captured the GLVC title, are just above Grand Valley who captured the 2022 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and hold the same overall record as the Hounds with, 18-1, with their only loss being to the Greyhounds earlier in the season, who took the 14-8 win over the Lakers, after
Abigail Lagos posted five goals.

UIndy will finalize its post season fate when the NCAA Midwest Regional seedings and bracket is announced on Sunday, May 8, at 8:30 p.m. ET.
