UIndy Claims #1 Seed, Hosting Rights at NCAA Midwest Regional

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis has earned the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region and the right to host the opening round of the NCAA Division II Tournament after gaining a 18-1 overall record and a 7-0 conference record in the 2022 campaign as announced by the national office on Sunday night.
 
The Hounds are set to play for the third time this season and 2021 rematch, against Lindenwood, who holds the No. 4 seed in the nation. The Hounds have defeated the Lions most recently for the GLVC Championship, 14-5.
 
The Winner of the first match will advance to the Midwest Region finals to play against the winner of No. 2 seeded Grand Valley St. and No. 3 Regis (CO). UIndy and Lindenwood face off at 11 a.m. ET at Key Stadium on Friday, May 13, with the Championship being held on May 15, at 12 p.m.
