14th-ranked and undefeated UIndy football team welcomes Southwest Baptist and its potent offense to Key Stadium Saturday. The GLVC opener for both teams, the game highlights a fun-filled week of activities as part of the University's
2022 Homecoming. The Greyhounds have won 10 consecutive Homecoming games and 14 of the last 15.
Led by senior QB and reigning GLVC offensive Player of the Year Cooper Callis, the Bearcats sport one of the top offenses in the GLVC. They rank third in the conference in both scoring offense (34.5 ppg) and total offense (437 ypg). Individually, Callis ranks eighth in Division II with 10 passing TDs on the season, while junior running back Abel Carter sits fourth in the nation in rushing yards per game (146).
UIndy has won six of the seven all-time meetings with the Bearcats. Last season, the Hounds orchestrated a
77-10 rout in Bolivar, hanging the second-highest point total in both UIndy and GLVC history. The Greyhounds generated 42 points in the first quarter alone, including four scores from
Jeremiah Lee.
Toriano Clinton set an Division II record with 197 rushing yards in the first quarter.
