INDIANAPOLIS – Fresh off an NCAA Division II national championship last season, the University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team sits atop the 2023 GLVC preseason poll, announced by officials at the conference office on Wednesday.
The Hounds, who have won back-to-back GLVC titles, earned 36 points and six first-place votes. Close behind, Rockhurst sits in second after earning 31 points and a lone first-place vote.
Elaine Jones is set to enter her first season at the helm of the program. The Greyhounds will bring back two All-GLVC First Team selections from a season ago along with one second team honoree and two honorable mention selections.
UIndy will take the field to open the year on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Concordia-St. Paul beginning at noon ET.
