NOBLESVILLE, Ind.—Fifth-year senior
Cam Carroll etched his name in the UIndy record book this week at the Ken Partridge Invitational. The Lansing, Mich., native fired a nine-under 63 in the opening round to break both school and course records. He ultimately finished at -6 for the week to take runner-up honors, while the Greyhounds secured a share of ninth place on the team leaderboard at the region-heavy event.
The 13-team, 81-man tournament was held at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind., April 9-11.
Carroll turned in a scorecard of a lifetime Sunday. The bogey-free round featured as many birdies as pars. In fact, he went on to play 25 holes before penciling in a bogey. He added an eagle on hole No. 5 on Tuesday before finishing at -6 for 54 holes, good for the runner-up trophy.
Junior
Bryce Robertson notched a top-20 finish, placing T-17 at +6. He highlighted his week with a one-under 71 on Monday, thanks to a 33 on the back 9.
Fifth-year senior
Jacob Nickell (+15) took 53rd place, while individual competitor
Owen Kruschwitz (+16) was T-54.
Noah Wolfe (+24),
Ethan Stanley (+27),
Drew Rowen (+34) and
Kyle Strakis (+40) also competed.

The Greyhounds have postseason play on tap, with the
2023 GLVC Championships scheduled for take start this coming weekend. The tournament is set for April 16-18 at Paradise Point Golf Course in Smithville, Mo.
