INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the field for the third annual GLVC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament, and UIndy was named as the host institution for all three games. Action will take place at Key Stadium on Friday and Sunday.
The Greyhounds earned the No. 1 overall seed, while Maryville gleaned the second seed, Rockhurst was tabbed as the No. 3-seed, and Missouri Western claimed the No. 4-seed.
Semifinal 1: #1 UIndy vs. #4 Missouri Western | Friday, April 28, 4 PM ET
- UIndy went 15-2 overall and 6-0 in GLVC action during the regular season.
- The IWLCA fifth-ranked Greyhounds repeated as GLVC Regular Season Champions and will host the Tournament as the top seed for the second year in a row in their third appearance in the GLVC postseason.
- Missouri Western went 9-7 overall and 3-3 in GLVC action.
- The Griffons are making their first appearance in the GLVC postseason.
- The two teams just met this afternoon, April 23, in the regular season finale with UIndy winning at home, 17-4.
Maryville and Rockhurst will battle in the second semifinal match on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The championship match will take place on Sunday, April 30 at 12 p.m. ET.
