INDIANAPOLIS—With the release of the GLVC men's golf postseason awards Wednesday, UIndy student-athlete Cam Carroll was one of 12 student-athletes to garner All-GLVC status. The fifth-year senior was one of only five golfers to be voted to the team by the league coaches, joining seven other individuals who made the list due to a top-five finish (including ties) at the 2023 GLVC Championships.
 
Carroll compiled a team-best 73.1 stroke average on the season, good for the fourth-lowest number in program history. His biggest highlight came at the Ken Partridge Invitational, where he set the UIndy record for lowest 18-hole score with a nine-under 63 in the first round.
 
The league also recognized a GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award nominee from each team, with Jacob Nickell earning the honor for UIndy. The 11 student-athletes chosen have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals are also in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced later this month.
