INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Indianapolis placed second in the GLVC's Commissioner's Cup standings, as announced by league officials on Tuesday. The Greyhounds combined for 67 total points, falling just on the heels of winner Lewis University, who corralled 69.
Points are allocated for the Commissioner's Cup based on the athletic department's finish in the GLVC's postseason tournaments in men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, and baseball. All 13 conference members sponsor these core sports at the intercollegiate level.
The Greyhounds have finished in the top three in the Cup standings seven times since 2014, including two wins. Instituted prior to the 2002-03 season, the Commissioner's Cup has had six different institutions stake claim to the award.
