INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis baseball team has a spot in the NCAA DII Midwest Baseball rankings, arriving at No. 7 after a series sweep of the Rockhurst Hawks. The Hounds (29-16, 14-14 GLVC) are riding a six-game winning streak and appear as one of the four GLVC schools in the rankings. The top-three spots in the region are all occupied by GLVC-foes in Quincy (36-9), Illinois Springfield (31-11) and Maryville (28-15) landing in that order.

The Hounds have just one series left before post-season action begins. The Lewis Flyers (28-18, GLVC 19-9) who currently sit in the No. 3 spot in the conference, come to town with the Hounds fighting for a chance at the GLVC tournament. The Hounds are currently in a three-way tie with the Missouri S&T Miners and the Missouri-St. Louis Tritions. All three schools face tough opposition, with UMSL welcoming UIS and S&T battling with Maryville.

The Greyhounds will celebrate senior day on the final game of the series with Lewis.
