NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Three members of the UIndy women's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2023 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior All-Star game.
Kara Antonucci,
Mekayla Montgomery and
Jess Soenen have earned the right to represent the south team which is set to be coached by Jenny Miller of Shepherd University.
The Senior All-Star game will take place this weekend at 10 a.m. ET on Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. According to the IWLCA, admission will be free of charge and there will be no live stream of the game.
The trio tallied a productive season for the Greyhounds, who finished the season at 18-3 after winning a third-straight conference championship while making a trip to the Midwest Regional title game.
Montgomery tallied a team-high 78 draw controls while finishing third on the squad with 19 caused turnovers. Soenen produced 38 goals and eight assists on offense while finishing tied for third on the team with 26 ground balls. Despite missing a large majority of the season due to an injury, Antonucci was still able to collect 24 draw controls alongside nine caused turnovers in only eight games played.
