With one final non-conference game on the schedule, the No. 16 UIndy football team will battle a former GLIAC rival for the second week. After besting Wayne State at home last Saturday, 28-7, the Greyhounds will face off against Saginaw Valley in their road opener this Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals and Hounds have hooked up three times since the latter moved to the GLVC in 2012. UIndy swept the home-and-home arrangement in 2014 and '15, before the Cardinals bested UIndy, 38-14, in Saginaw last October.

UIndy is one of only three Division II teams without an offensive turnover this season. That continues a trend for the Greyhounds, who have ranked in the top 10 in the nation in fewest turnovers in seven of the last 12 seasons. In fact, the Hounds led all Division II squads in the metric twice in that span, including tying the DII record with only six giveaways in the entire 2011 campaign.
