INS & OUTS
Conaway used a second-round 65 to fuel his all-tournament performance. He started Monday with four consecutive birdies and ended it with eight birds in all. Possibly more memorable was that the stellar round sandwiched the "Great American Eclipse". The
Indianapolis Star came out to cover the event, with Conaway and Head Coach
Brent Nicoson both featured.
Cameron Young (+2) had a solid week, carding scores of 72-73-73 to share sixth place and finish one stroke back of all-tournament status.
Ben Keil overcame a slow start with back-to-back 71s to slide into the top 20.
Alexander Nestun and
Simon Engman shared 28th place at +9.
Led by senior
Bryce Robertson (+4), UIndy's "Grey" Team had some notable performances as well. In perhaps his final collegiate tournament, the Fishers, Ind., native forced his way into the top 10 with a final-round 70. Sophomore
Drew Rowen (+7) shared 19th, while
Jackson Watkins capped the regular season Tuesday with a hole-in-one on the 190-yard 12th hole.
