Cooper Collects GLVC Softball Weekly Honor

INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis sophomore outfielder Cara Cooper was named Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week in softball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Team Results: L 4-5, W 9-8 vs. Upper Iowa (3/7) | W 12-0, W 16-4 vs. Quincy (3/8)
  • Went 8-for-13 (.615) with two walks in four conference games, accumulating a .667 on-base percentage
  • Smacked five doubles, posting a 1.000 slugging percentage and driving in seven runs
  • Added seven runs scored and two stolen bases
  • Recorded at least one hit and one RBI in all four contests, including three multi-hit games
    • Extended hitting streak to eight games and RBI streak to 13
  • Highlighted by 3-for-4 performance in second game against UIU, slapping three doubles and driving in one run
  • Earns first career Player of the Week award
