INDIANAPOLIS – After the UIndy women's lacrosse team's second top-5 match up on the short season against
Florida Southern, the Greyhounds held steady in the top-5 at the No. 2 spot in the latest release of the IWLCA National Coaches Poll.
UIndy has one of the strongest resumes in DII women's lacrosse so far this season with a win over
defending national champion, Tampa, in its first game of the season. As well as a one point loss to the new No. 1 team in the country, Florida Southern this past weekend.
Malaena Michielin and
Olivia Bladon have led the way on the attack for UIndy, posting a combined 13 points on nine goals and four assists, while last week's
GLVC Defensive Player of the Week,
Ava Graham, has boasted 14 saves with a .483 save percentage in the first two contests of the season.
UIndy will travel east to take on Walsh in the team's first unranked match up of the 2026 on Friday Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. in Canton, OH.
